Which Campgrounds Are Closest to Centennial?

Two metro state parks sit either side of the city, and neither one is actually within it.

Cherry Creek State Park: Just north of the city with an Aurora address on South Parker Road, about 20 minutes from Denver. 135 sites, full hookup and tent, open all year with winter camping confined to the Abilene Loop.

Chatfield State Park: About 30 minutes west at Littleton, where 146 full hookup sites run mid-April to mid-October and taller rigs must use the Plum Creek entrance rather than Deer Creek.

Bear Creek Lake Park Campground: About 30 minutes northwest in Lakewood, run by that city on 20, 30 and 50 amp service from April to October.

Denver East / Strasburg KOA Holiday: About 35 miles east at Strasburg, open all year and taking rigs to 75 feet on 50 amp full-service pull-throughs.

Reserve through the operating agency and confirm current fire restrictions before travelling.

What Are the Best Things to See and Do in Centennial?

Centennial is one of Colorado's newest cities, incorporated in 2001, and its visiting is built around parks, trails and a large open-air retail district rather than old landmarks. A civic park with a playground and splash pad sits beside the city centre, the High Line Canal Trail runs through a park on South University Boulevard, and open space follows Cherry Creek. A well known concert amphitheatre nearby belongs to a neighbouring town.

Which RV Rental Fits Your Trip near Centennial?

Denver Camper Rentals lists Class A, Class B and Class C motorhomes, and Centennial's street rules make the compact Class B camper van the least troublesome option. The city prohibits a recreational vehicle or trailer from parking on any public street in a residential district except in two narrow cases: a resident's own rig, or one belonging to somebody visiting a resident, and either may stay only 48 consecutive hours before a 24 hour gap is required. Slide-outs and awnings may not be extended while parked on the street, and a visiting RV may not be occupied as sleeping quarters. Both nearby state parks are close enough to make that a non-issue if you book ahead. Availability depends on the individual RV and your dates. Book the state park loop first, then ask the team what will fit the pad you have. View Available RVs or Contact the Denver Camper Rentals team.
